The Hot Band was a force onstage and on Harris’s classic recordings, produced by Brian Ahern, in the s and early ’80s. This panel features Country Music Hall of Fame member Harris, along with Ahern, Burton, DeVito, Hardin, and Ware. Presented in support of the exhibit Emmylou Harris: Songbird’s Flight. Ford Theater.

Angel Band is one of Emmylou Harris' more obscure albums, a flawless gem of mostly traditional songs where her spiritual expression reigns supreme. Angel Band is an album of tender and yearning hymns, mournful and comforting at the same time. Those who love Emmylou's bluegrass excursions like the album Roses in the Snow, will love this neglected classic/5().

Mar 09,  · Marillion - Script For A Jester's Tear: I had heard in early 83 about a band that sounded like Genesis, so I took a chance on this tape when Capitol eventually released it in the US and I loved it. Peter Gabriel - Plays Live: loved this album and had tickets to see him in August at the Greek in LA but my family went on vacation that month.

“Most of my career,” says Emmylou Harris, “I’ve been a finder of songs, a gatherer of songs, so this showcases, in part, that side of what I do.” Her latest Nonesuch release, All I Intended to Be, its simple but evocative title borrowed from the lyric of a Billy Joe Shaver song, does far more than that.
